The Old Ship Inn, Sidmouth: 1350 to 2011
Now a Costa Coffee House.
What sort of sick and depraved society turns a centuries old inn into a fucking Costa? At least someone had the decency to scrawl RIP on the wall. The irony is that Costa is owned by Whitbread, a once fine brewing company (but now responsible for a plethora of Hell's waiting rooms in the form of Costa, Brewer's Fayre, Premier Inns, Beefeater, etc. - the sort of places I'd have to be dead to be seen in). Samuel Whitbread must be spinning.
